Pastoral Care of Pupils

Our school is dedicated to providing bespoke pastoral support to ensure the well-being and development of every children. The key aspects of our pastoral support are:

Caring Environment: We cultivate a caring and inclusive environment where children feel safe, supported, and valued. This is fundamental to their overall well-being.

Designated Pastoral Team: We have a dedicated team, including teachers and support staff, responsible for pastoral care. They work collaboratively to address the social, emotional, and personal needs of children.

Open Communication Channels: We maintain open and effective communication channels between children, parents, and school staff. This ensures that concerns are addressed promptly, and achievements are celebrated.

Personalised Support Plans: Where necessary, we develop personalised support plans which are tailored to individual needs and may involve academic, social, emotional, or mental health support.

Bullying Prevention and Intervention: Our school has a comprehensive approach to bullying prevention. We promote a culture of respect and kindness, and intervention strategies are in place to address any instances of bullying.

Emotional Well-being Programmes: We integrate programmes that focus on emotional well-being into our curriculum. These aim to equip children with the tools to navigate emotions, build resilience, and develop positive relationships.

Peer Support Initiatives: We encourage positive peer relationships through various initiatives, fostering a sense of community and support among children.

Our commitment to pastoral support reflects our belief that a nurturing and supportive environment is essential for children to thrive academically, socially and emotionally throughout their primary school years.
